long live wanderlust.

I think we were both surprised at how much we liked vietnam. we ate great food, saw beautiful old architecture, met wonderful people (locals and travelers) and felt very comfortable in every city we visited. the war remnants museum stands out as a highlight, as does pho on the streets of hanoi :) I didn’t expect to really want to come back, but I already know we will. there are so many places we didn’t get to see…

today we went from phu quoc island to ha tien for a quick stop (I wanted to explore more, dammit) before making the border crossing into cambodia. most of the border crossing process involved standing around outside, so we have some lovely t-shirt shaped sunburns! now we are listening to the rain fall in kep, and hoping it passes by morning so we can head into town and explore the crab market. we leave for pnom penh on sunday!
