Photo 29 Feb 1 note when we rolled into bangkok, we were both hitting a point of being totally exhausted from hardcore sightseeing every day for three weeks, and needing an excuse to indulge in some western comforts. a city that has more to offer after dark than at any other time was the perfect break: we did some early morning exploring, ate (mcdonalds may have happened here…), slept and partied (making some new friends along the way). but we left exhausted in a different way, and feel SO lucky that chiang mai was our next stop. after an overnight bus (blech), we indulged today in sleep, quiet wandering and a tasty organic lunch (can you say dragonfruit smoothie?). tomorrow we are doing a jungle trek, including an elephant ride and white water rafting, to get back in touch with nature after all these cities. friday I have planned a spa day, which brian is probably going to use as a lazy, beer-drinking day! this will be the perfect place to recharge :D
